Eng. Iliya Nedev, Chief Engineer of Bitumina GmbH - Bulgaria EOOD was awarded the title of "Engineer of the Year" 2024 by the Bulgarian Branch Chamber "Roads".
The prestigious award was given for the successful implementation of the AM "Europe" project: Modernization of road I-8 Kalotina – P.V. "Hrabarsko" from km 1+000 to km 4+420 and from km 6+100 to km 15+500​. The route is part of the main trans-European transport network. It is in the direction of London - Budapest - Belgrade - Sofia - Plovdiv - Istanbul - Calcutta and is the shortest route connecting Western Europe with the Near and Middle East.
